PLEASE SHARE: Our hearts are breakin over here, friends: COOPER, a 2 year old Beagle, just got returned to us....again. For the 3rd time. Ugh. Please understand, this is not COOPERS fault. Originally relinquished by an elderly owner who could not care for him anymore, COOPER came in to us severely depressed. Then, adopted out to a family who maybe moved into COOPERS space just a wee bit too quickly. Then, a wonderful family adopted him and discovered their kiddo was allergic. See why our hearts are breaking? COOPER just cant catch a break! COOPER comes to life with other dogs -- he especially needs a family with another dog who will help him trust again and help COOPER navigate through the world with. He is a tender-hearted soul who adores kiddos and has an affinity for classical music (really, when we play classical music through the kennel speakers he dozes into a catatonic state!) He may even be okay with cats, if tested. True to beagle form, COOPER likes to sniff and can seem a little indifferent at first. But trust us, future adopter: this guy will velcro to his person once he believes he will be safe and secure and in a committed, forever home. You should see him with our kennel manager -- man, does this guy attach! Speaking of, COOP (as we call him) doesnt like being alone much, so would need a home where someone was there most of the time. Alternatively, if he was home with another doggy (or two!) to keep him company he would be supremely happy. COOP has some skin and food allergies, so would also need his new peeps to help him with that, too. Wont someone please open their heart to this unbelievably wonderful dog? What does COOPER want for this holiday season? I need a best friend. This is what we all feel he is thinking as we pass his kennel each day.
