PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE FROM THE CLEVELAND COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT!! Advisory: James C. Nance Bridge DAMAGED! PLEASE SHARE!!!!! We were notified by local law enforcement in Lexington, OK, today that after an inspection of the James C. Nance bridge it was found to have significant damage to the east end which spans the river. This bridge connects Purcell and Lexington. Due to this damage, ODOT has dropped the weight limit to travel across the bridge to 5 tons. This means that not even a school buss can cross the bridge due to its weight. ODOT told local law enforcement that they are working with engineers to find a solution to the problem and will notify local law enforcement as soon as they have a solution.
