PLEASE SHARE THIS STATUS TO HELP SAVE HERA!!!! Meet Hera, Approximately 8 years old, Hera comes from a puppy mill situation, where she was housed outside, being bred over and over. When Hera, (along with 83 other dogs) was seized by SPCA inspectors, she was brought here and stayed with us in our kennels for +/-3 months, until it was discovered that she was pregnant. She gave birth to three healthy puppies on October 24th. She was moved to a quiet room, where she cared for her babies with love and patience, until yet again, bad luck struck Hera. She was on her daily exercise trip outside, when upon re-entering the building, accidentally got her tail caught in the door, when a strong gust of wind blew the door closed. The end of her tail was cut off by the door, and she had to go into emergency surgery to close up the wound and stop the bleeding. She, sadly, had to be separated from her puppies at 6 weeks of age. After 5 months of court hearings, Hera has finally been liberated thanks to the hard work of our inspection team and our legal team. All three of Hera’s puppies have found loving homes, and now it is Hera’s turn.
