PLEASE SHARE !!!! This dog was found at White Bank Park this morning. Yesterday we received a call from someone wanting to know where to take a dog to be euthanized. They described the dog as having a large tumor/open wound on its leg. They were instructed to contact Ft. Lee vet for assistance. Then this morning we found this dog in the park. It has a large tumor/open wound on its leg and it appears that someone took its collar off recently. We have contacted Ft.Lee Animal Control and confirmed that no one has contacted them or the vet asking for assistance for a dog with a tumor. The dog was not microchipped so it may belong to a family living off base in our area. Please let us know if she looks familiar. She is currently at Colonial Heights Vet being evaluated. The tumor is about the size of a honey dew melon and located on the rear leg. As soon as the vet has a chance to look at it we will up date you. Hopefully it can be removed.
