PLEASE SHARE: Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th April 2014 Oxstalls Campus, University of Gloucestershire Stop the Heartbreak is delighted to inform you about a fantastic heart screening, sport and physical activity event taking place in April 2014. All of this will be FREE of charge to visitors. About the Screening The University of Gloucestershire and The Citizen newspaper have joined forces to help provide vital cardiac testing for young people aged 14 to 35 years old. There will be screening appointments available for 200 young people over the two day event. Booking for screening places will be launched in early March. Special Guests We are pleased to announce that Sir Steve Redgrave will be in attendance at the event. Sir Steve Redgrave is a patron for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (C-R-Y). Celebrating Sport and Physical Activity in Gloucestershire Whilst the screening is running there will also be a host of other exciting activities taking place for people to watch or take part in, including: · Sport therapy ‘mini-clinics’ on how to prevent injuries · Sport science ‘knowledge-bites on nutrition, preparation, strength and conditioning · Sporting taster sessions · Cardiopulmonary and defibrillation training · Exhibitions stands Want to get involved...
