PLEASE SHARE some thoughts on stuff! SO the election is looming and who the hell is worthy of a vote ??... if i looked at the track record of either of the two major parties i would have to say no... not voting. Likewise with Palmers mob... self interested and so loose as a party that any vote that way would be a vote for instability at best... The Greens are untested, but voters are swinging that way out of sheer frustration with lie after lie from the major parties, so i may end up voting green and hoping some element of sanity will prevail and that they will not go extreme radicalist on the resource sector that employs (used to employ) so many many thousands in our area... but its a big risk, even though i feel confident that future generations of our children may be fundamentally better off, even if we do have hard times during a much needed transition. But is it a bigger risk than voting mainstream after seeing what carnage the NLP and ALP have wrought on the state after our trust has been shattered so many times.... i dont honestly know. One thing i do know is that we are FORCED to vote under threat of penalty/fines, which is democratically injust. If the henchman says to you, choose how you will die, by axe or by noose? what does it matter? Either way the outcome is the same, no room for pardon or reprieve from a system that is fundamentally corrupt and outdated, existing mainly to prolong its own existence, serve its own ends... using lies and deception to attempt to convince people it is honest and has our best interests at heart, which blind freddy can see is bull. I think that the biggest issue facing voters this election is not so much driven by health, education or infrastructure or debt, but accountability. WHY are not politicians lies accountable to legal process. If they are elected and PAID under such obvious false pretenses, isnt that fraud? Shouldnt there be a independent ROYAL inquiry into political charlatanism and deception? Isnt it time the people formed a class action against such blatant misrepresentation and cronyism? A class action to change the very nature of politics itself, to allow the people to throw out/de-register a party that proves by its actions it has not kept its promises, to force it to keep its promises! I have heard say that there is no legal mandate enforcing the necessity for parties running for election to actually keep a promise. In other words they can say whatever they want, and get in! Imagine if business and society ran like that, there would be blood in the streets... Transformation is needed now, before we are left with no choice but outright REVOLUTION!!! Just sayin!
