PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE Shared via our friends at Petitions Against Animal Cruelty - Please Sign McIntosh County, OK - Jordan Smith, 23, who lives in the River Oaks community, is alleged to have told a deputy from the McIntosh County Sheriffs Office that he had tried to kill the family dog by stabbing it in the neck with a knife. When that didnt work, Smith used a hammer and hit the dog over the head at least ten times. The deputy contacted a local rescue organization who rushed the dog to an emergency veterinarian hospital. The dog suffered broken bones to his face and head, and his injuries were too severe to be saved. Sadly, the dog had to be humanely euthanized. Smith has been arrested and remains in jail in lieu of $50,000 bond. No reason has been given for the egregious attack on the dog.
