PLEASE stop this MADNESS! There is so much at stake. Cosmetology is a trade that takes skill and as such must be taught. There is so much more involved than picking up a pair of scissors and cutting hair! We have all heard horror stories of things that have gone wrong in a salon (flesh eating bacteria from a pedicure, for example). Now, imagine what would happen if there was absolutely NO regulation! Every year there seem to be an outbreak of lice in schools. All it would take is one or two of those children to come in for a haircut and without proper sanitation the stylist passes the lice (or ringworm) on to you! And Im not even going to go into the much more serious diseases! Thanks for letting me rant this am. Everyone who has or knows someone who has hair, skin, or nails needs to do something to stop this (this means everyone)! :-)
