PLZ RD I know you all enjoy it when I call out trolls on twitter. LETS REMEMBER WHY because i see some of you, especially my younger followers enjoying it a little too much ;) - I am a public figure, Im used to getting seemingly random shots taken at me by people I dont know (and people i do) - Im a firm believer in the First Amendment. I dont do this because I am offended, etc. Its not about me. I do it because the social platforms provide a quick, easy and semi anonymous way to terrorize others for those so inclined. Lets remember people, especially teenagers have killed themselves over this kind of behavior. So, in essence my theory is to air one way to deal with it - I simply repost some of it and allow the person who sent it to get a dose of their own medicine - but i also do it in a controlled way - if it starts to get out of hand, i stop it. Im cognizant of the fact not everyone can manifest the kind of social response i can, but, to be frank, if one kid whose being terrorized online sees one of the times I fight back that it will empower them to go to their parents and get some help.
