PM forms cabinet committee to beat energy crisis ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday announced to form cabinet committee on energy to combat the ongoing power crisis. The decision regarding formation of cabinet’s committee was taken during a high level meeting presided over by the PM. Media reports said that the meeting reviewed energy crisis, electricity production and distribution and it was decided that the prime minister Nawaz Sharif would himself head the cabinet committee. Federal Minister for Water and Power, Petroleum Minister, Punjab Chief Minister and Federal Finance Minister would be the members of the committee. The committee would convene its meeting after every 15 days and would prepare suggestions over energy crisis. Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that the committee would enjoy his full cooperation, adding he directed committee members to take urgent steps so that the masses would get some relief from load shedding
