PNW September 19, 2014 i woke up early but had to answer some comments in SSFP.....left home at around 7 AM, it was raining hard since the wee hours of the morning.....i was on my bike and was already near north avenue when i saw that all traffic had stopped. the area was flooded. it would been ok if water will not get in my bikes carburetor.... but not seeing any vehicle passing, i wasnt sure of how deep the water was.... i made a u turn and made use of shortcuts to visayas avenue to access PNW. bought siopao along the way, for food. when i got to PNW, i was amazed when i saw the pond, there was water everywhere, i mean even on areas where theres supposed to be no water....went to my usual place, some parts were submerged in knee deep water already... when i got to the grotto hut, i saw some anglers on the other side...at the PNW fishing village, so i decided to transfer...and thats when i discovered that i misplaced or might dropped it water....... my keys to my bike and door locks of our house.....spent some time looking for it....but nada. good thing i always carry a spare in my wallet. on the way to the fishing village a PNW guard told me that the way is flooded, i asked how deep and he said knee deep. so i trudged on...and was surprise that it wasnt knee deep, it was almost waist deep!!!..i was worried that i could get stuck ...played with my throttle and clutch all the way..after a few meters....i passed... met bossmaster Jr and Harold .....had great conversations.....and great time. tested the shimano 1500 ...and it worked just fine.... Kuya ed, a PNW worker later joined us...he left after chatting with us and came back with his rod and reel and some live tilapias which he used as bait for snakeheads. later on he caught one. harold tried fishing for tilapia too. i think he got 2 palm sized tilapias. the first one was chased by a snakehead...he was converted to live bait fishing immediately.....hahahaha around 2 pm.... i got a big striata bit at my BSB...i was sleepy...the BSB was already in front of me, and was about to lift it off the water.. when this biggie snakehead decided to make a run for it....he missed when he tried to swallow it whole, he only got the tail end of the grub...it was an unreal upclose sight, nawala ang antok ko hahahaha when kuya ed left ...we were joined later by bro Raphael Vargas..........a while later Bro Jr left....i still went on with my testing. and others kept on casting. around this time....poachers came. at around 3 pm......... juvies made their presence. there are big ones! with some already having fading yellow stripes....most were as long as 12 with a few solitary 15 inchers... i took a photo of them swimming...but either i was late or the cam was on a wrong angle....i should have taken a video... well, the three of us had a great time trying to catch them....we had a lot of miss strikes...i had to lend bro harold a small popper for the one he was using was just too big...but still, toman juvies dont seem to be bothered by lure size....they just keep on biting and missing hahahaha i really love watching this... it gives me pleasure, bonus na lang kapag nakahuli ka. i used my generic WTD and even that they missed :) tried different lures and those too did not work. after a long while, they dissipated. i left at around 4:45 pm. rain had not abated since we got there.....water level on the pond had increased.... as i was riding my bike along the road in front of the PASU office, i saw huge water explosions....it got me thinking...baba muna ako...at batuhan ko kaya......baka may kumagat, ma test ko na yung drag ng 1500 (naghanap pa ng dahilan hahhaha).. ....but then nahhhhhh. i am getting cold....and i am not sure what time i can get home, some roads might still not be passable.....finally decided to go home while there is still daylight....but it was a very hard decision :) .....langya naman kasi kung kailan na pauwi saka naglabasan...........next time i will not fully disassemble my gears...para madali lang i set up .....hahahhaha
