POEM FROM SPIRIT In Flanders Fields the lights go out You cant whisper you have to shout The only light is the flames in the sky And so many soldiers lay down to die I gave my life so you could live Thats the best gift I have to give The sirens are loud over the top The whistle blows and its off we go I dont know if Ill come back alive But at least Ill know I would have tried We all sang and cheered the night before The day we all went to war Im not afraid, Ill be OK Just remember me, dont forget me Im not far away A poem from Private Edmund Revely 11440 (my great grandfather) Deepest respect. I salute you Sir x
