POETS DEAD…!? NOT THEIR SPIRIT!! SOMEONE claimed poets are dead! If so, let them stoop down low instead, Condescend and become new poets head Rather than blare the horn Till many hearts be torn…!! Many poets have we known, Yet, many more others have been born. If one purported to be smart, Theyd give their own new poets a start - That way, theyd be up to some good. That way, theyd be better understood. As for me, Not much to do with thee, Poetry depends largely on moods, Especially, when at sea, Or, what more, In the thick of the woods, When back right here, ashore. Unlike sports or games That thrive better in tournaments, Poetry, even without names, Finds refuge in environments - Reason for one to write With no undue contempt or spite. By the time poets are dead, Poetry gathers more light to shed! So, my dear loving sister, Lets mend breaches instead To revive our niggardly mister.
