POLICE ARRESTS THREE FIELD ROBBERS. THE police has arrested 3 people in connection to a field robbery at Save supermarket at Busega Kampala today 12/12/ 2014 at 4am in the morning. Police officers from Natete carried out early morning operation on intelligence information obtained from members of the public that the suspected robbers had been sighted trying to gain accesses to save supermarket through the ceiling. The police laid an ambush and in the process of arresting suspected robbers, five were shot dead and three arrested. Some of the items recovered from them included motor vehicle UAP 617Y, Bajaj boxer blue UDM 340E, master keys, pair of scissors, axe, ,a toy gun and cash one million four hundred sixty thousand shillings . Those arrested have been identified as David Kaweesa, Kamoga Salim and Senkungu Christopher all residences of Kitawuliize zone in Mutundwe. The bodies of the shot dead have been taken to Mulago hospital for postmortem as they include Kamugish Kasibat of Bweyogerere, Ssalongo Jemba Steven of Masaka, Swales of Kigaga zone in Natete, Magomu Rashid of Namungoona and one male unidentified. The police would like to thank all those who cooperated with the officers in the operation and encourage the public to continue to be vigilant and to give police timely information so as to enable the police carry out successful operations.
