POLICE BLOTTER - July 10, 2013 Agency Assist // DUI at Colby Ave and California St During routine patrol an officer observes a vehicle with expired license tabs. When the vehicle makes a left turn where a clearly visible sign prohibits that action, the officer initiates a traffic stop. On contact the officer notices the strong odor of intoxicants emanating from the driver. The driver stares blankly at the officer when asked questions and has difficulty focusing. The driver replies, “yup” when asked if he has been drinking. The officer requests a WSP Trooper who arrives and initiates a DUI investigation. The driver is ultimately arrested for suspicion of DUI.
