Chief Vern Malloch, 207-874-8548 [email protected] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 11, 2013 Body of Missing Fisherman Discovered Portland and South Portland Police Divers and the Harbor Master discovered a deceased man under Custom House Wharf at 8:00 this morning. The body is tentatively identified as 66 year old George Manning. He is a fisherman reported missing yesterday by coworkers on the fishing vessel Northstar. The vessel had been docked at the end of Custom House Wharf and Manning was living onboard. The body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy and positive identification. No cause or manner of death has been established at this time.
