POLICE INVESTIGATE RECENT VANDALISM OF MASONIC LODGES The Sevierville Police Department is requesting assistance from the public regarding the recent vandalism of two Masonic lodges. According to SPD Detective Milliron, the Mountain Star Lodge #197, 1309 Dolly Parton Parkway, was allegedly broken into between April 18-25, 2014. Nothing was reported stolen, however, several rooms within the building were ransacked and vandalized. The perpetrator(s) gained access to a safe that contained documents, but none were reportedly taken. The Mountain Star Lodge is offering a $500.00 (five-hundred) reward for information resulting in the arrest and conviction of all persons involved in the burglary and vandalism of their lodge. Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact SPD Detective Milliron at 865-868-1747. According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the French Broad Lodge #533, 3709 Douglas Dam Road in Kodak, was allegedly broken into sometime between April 19-21, 2014. As in the Sevierville burglary, interior rooms were ransacked and vandalized; two clocks were also reportedly stolen.
