POLICE SERVE RESIDENCY DOCUMENTS: Six Nations Police have sent out a press release regarding the eviction of a non-native man who is married to a Six Nations woman living on the reserve: On June 2nd, 2014, the Six Nations Police Service received a Residency Bylaw Notice from the Six Nations Council to be served on Mr. Joshua McFarland. On Thursday June 19th the Notice was served on Mr. McFarland at a Seneca Road residence, by a Six Nations Police Officer. The Notice indicates that Mr. McFarland is not a Six Nations Band Member and is in contravention of the bylaw. Mr. McFarland has 15 days to move from the Territory. This residency bylaw action was based on a complaint that Six Nations Council received from Band Members. The police service will follow up on this matter at the expiration of the 15 days granted in the Notice.
