POLITICS WITHOUT PRINCIPLES...........watching the row or brigandage if u will choose dat word that engulfed the river state house of assembly yesterday, one wil nt bt tink of wat d future holds for our democracy and wat the actors tends to achieve and way and manner thru which de want to achieve such fit. what is happening in dat state is a clear case of lawlessness, neglect for rule of law and democratic principles, bcos it well stipulated in d constitution the manner in which a governor can b impeached. although this mite nt b unconnected to d fact dat rivers state n some of her leaders re no longer in the good books of the man at centre, so a war is now declared to get dem out of way by using even the government institutions which ordinarily shuld b working professionally for the government, and d faces seen in all dis, has done dat knowing fully well dat no one wil dare to ask questions cos de enjoy the favours frm dose whose faces re hidden, though powerful. this was exactly wat played out in Anambra state during the time of Ngige where d powers dat be went as far as using mercenaries form government institutions to keep a governor hostage. d unfolding events in rivers state shuld also interest oda governors regardless to which side de belong in the politics of 2015, cos it is Ameachis' lot today, it could b any of d governors tomoro. the question of wat kind of legacy and principles our current leaders re leaving behind for a leader in waiting like me is a question dat d answers re nt fort coming considering d kind politics we re seeing now in this country where the tenants of democracy is practiced more in words dan in deeds.........one of my friends once told me that dis country will one day collapses......though i refuse to agree wit him, nt like I have enof reasons to refute the veracity of wat he said bt for d simple reasons that am passionate abt my country. although ova times ve i questioned my passion for dis country and her leaders....cos dis is a country dat cannot ensure d safety of her citizens, a country dat devours and terrorizes her youth, a country dat is hostile and antagonistic to her youth, a country dat her citizens re sure of the future holds for dem.........no sector of d economy cn Nigerians boost dat de re satisfy wit d way tins re moving.......change I no is a process nt an event bt it becomes worrisome wen d change is nt even being anticipated.
