PONY FOR SALE - complete with tack or just with blanket & grazing muzzle. See more updated videos in comments. Penny, 11.2, 15 yo pony mare. I purchased her for my lesson program back in 2007. I dont have smaller/younger students any more. She is good on the lunge line for walk/jog lessons, but has had limited independent riding while with me due to my students being very young, very small (my program for kids that small/age was a leadline program - some 5 year old children graduated up to walk/jog on the lungeline and ground work). While at my farm I had a student take Penny to a Pony Club show jumping rally as an emergency fill-in mount. Weve also taken Penny to public outings as a public relations pony for our farm. She has been to church and town functions (yes, she met Ronald McDonald LOL). She was also shown quite a bit in the in-hand divisions for obstacle course and showmanship, and even won a year-end high-point and money. She did have a bout of lamnitis about 2 years ago. Once recovered she has been fine but will need an owner who is aware of just how much grass a little pony can have, and keep her on a sensible diet (she is on coastal hay, soaked beet pulp and a grain ration balancer). I cant market her as a bomb-proof, idiot-proof, babysitter pony from some Disney flick, that is ready to go pack a kid around an 18 jump course today. What I CAN say is that she has not ever caused an issue in my safety minded lesson program, with beginner kids ages 4 - 10 with direct supervision and advanced beginner tween-agers with only moderate supervision. :) She MAY have been taught to drive at some point, because we hitched her on a whim one day after I had tried ground driving her a few weeks prior, and she did great pulling a tire. She ground drives pretty well. Right now two of my working students are either ground driving or lunging her twice a week and getting on her and riding her around bareback for about 10 minutes doing basic walk, a little stretch of jog and basic steering. She just had her shots about a month ago. $750 complete with her Wintec leadline saddle, string girth, three saddle pads, leather tail crupper, leathers/webbers, small plastic stirrups, in nearly new condition leather pony bridle with stainless steel eggbutt snaffle bit, little leather gaming reins, good condition - heavy duty turn out sheet, a little fleece liner for the sheet, nearly new halter and lead rope, and nearly new grazing muzzle. The riding tack is seen in most of the photos ( the driving harness is not for sale/included). $500 for Penny with her sheet/liner and grazing muzzle. :) I am selling to GOOD HOME ONLY. This little gal has been good for us, and I want her to go to a new owner who has equine care knowledge. :)
