POPC was contacted initially with where they could help this cat get neutered. The Clinics that were given proved to not contact her back. Here is the story told in the words of his caregivers now. If anyone would like to work with this beautiful cat please contact me and I will put you in touch with the wonderful people who did so much for him already. Okay here is his story from an email to me. Here are some photos of our friend who has been living around our home. I first called him Missy but have been calling him Little guy or good boy since we have realized he is a male. It is with great sadness we let him out just a few minutes ago. You could see he wanted to check his territory out. This has affected me and my husband very much. We have cried a few tears over being torn between letting him go and keeping him. We are both animal lovers and find it very hard to see this. Rick is outside at this moment building an insulated outdoor cathouse for the little guy. I am sure with lots of love he could make someone a wonderful pet if only given a chance. We wanted to be the people who could give him this chance but as I mentioned to you earlier it is very unfortunate it is not possible for us to keep him. Me and my husband are finding it very hard to let him go. I also feel the city is not doing enough to deal with these lost, scared animals. I have witnessed many stray cats around Listowel recently. We had our Little guy to the vets twice as they could not do a complete exam on him as he was totally not agreeable. We had him deflead, dewormed and partial vaccines-booster still to give, also had his claws trimmed. The vet believes he is neutered and over 1 year old by looking at his teeth to see how much tarter is on them. He would not eat hard food or drink water when we first started to feed him. Now we have gotten him eating a good quality hypoallergenic dry cat food and he also is drinking water now. As I also mentioned our house is up for sale. My hope is he can find a home before this happens. I was thinking of moving him with us but as you said you can not move a feral cat. I would say he is part feral as you mentioned so with the right person he can be saved. Thank you for all your advice you have given me. You do a great service for these animals and deserve a great pat on the back as well as your foster people. It is good to know there are some people like you there. High Regards Rick and Christine Ghesquire
