The role is responsible for developing and executing a marketing and communications plan ensuring positive brand coverage across all methods. Reporting to the Executive Director and operating as an integral part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for: • Building relationships with both existing and potential active producers by managing and executing a membership program; • Managing the planning and execution of domestic events, including an annual conference for members and industry stakeholders; • Negotiating and securing industry sponsorships for events and maximising value from those opportunities; • Managing communications with a strong focus on website and digital communications; • Managing external publicity and media and developing strategies to ensure continuous positive exposure; • Overseeing and ensuring timely data from marketing and communications campaigns and events is provided with a focus on ROI; • Preparing and managing budgets and reconciliations. It will be your responsibility to represent the business in a leadership capacity at industry forums and effectively manage and maintain the brand with the view to enhancing its position in the domestic screen industry. Responsible for the Marketing, Communications and Events team you will coach and proactively manage their development to strive for a challenged, harmonious and high performing team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, results driven, highly motivated individual with proven experience in building and managing relationships, preferably with an entertainment industry background. You need to be a team player, self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and goals, problem-solve and maintain high ethical standards, tact and diplomacy skills. You will have tertiary qualifications or minimum 3 years experience in marketing, communications and event management. The following skills and attributes are desirable: • Strong negotiation and communication skills, exceptional writing, aural and oral presentation skills; • Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified including marketing and communication strategy and techniques, budgeting, selling and account management, relationship building, strategic planning, business development, events and public relations; • Willingness to work ‘out of hours’ to meet the objectives of the role when required; • Patience, energy and sense of humour.
