POSSIBLE INTERNET FRAUD Dear All I just wanted to make you aware of a Facebook group/website that has been set up recently offering volunteers and cadets a Sea Cadet email address. This is not set up or endorsed by the organisation, and we’re investigating and working on having the site closed. It is a security and safety issue for anyone who signs up, including cadets because it asks for personal details that can then make them traceable. The site is: seacadetsuk.org.uk If you are asked by a volunteer, cadet or parent if this is legitimate please tell them that it is not and that they should not trust that their information will be handled appropriately if they still decide to sign up.
