POSSIBLE LINE UP AGAINST TOTTENHAM How the Blues will line up for their first game of 2015. With the hectic festive schedule now thinning out a little, Jose Mourinho can look forward to fielding his strongest line up on a more regular basis now. Spurs may not be on top form, but they still present a unique set of problems that the Blues will need to be ward of, and Mourinho will almost definitely revert back to his favoured personnel to deal with them. GK: Thibaut Courtois Easily cemented at the Blues first choice stopper now. RB: Branislav Ivanovic Having survived his own diver-gate, the powerful Serb is still trusted on the right side of the defence. CB: John Terry The renaissance man himself is still commanding a first team spot. CB: Gary Cahill No sense in breaking up the league’s most stringent defence now, especially as Tottenham’s forward line is so impotent. LB: Cesar Azpilicueta Still preferred to Felipe Luis on the left, he’ll be back in the swing of things now. CM: Nemanja Matic The league’s most underrated player should have little problems with breaking up impending Spurs attacks. CM: Cesc Fabregas Who better to partner next to the Premier League’s second best tackler than the league’s most creative force? RM: Willian The Brazilian hasn’t had much of a rest over Christmas, and Mourinho will be hoping that the fatigue won’t have caught up with him. LM: Eden Hazard Hazard has yet to let the fixture pile up get on top of him. Blessed with boundless energy, the young Brazilian will be looking to get in and around the Spurs defence to cause problems. ST: Diego Costa Mourinho will have to keep a close watch on his star striker as there are still concerns over his fitness.
