POSSIBLE TRAFFIC DELAYS - TWO SUPER LOADS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY JULY 8 SUFFOLK, VA (July 5, 2013) Two super load moves could cause delays in traffic on Monday, July 8, 2013. The super load move will carry a control house and will travel through the City of Suffolk between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. coming into the City from North Carolina, traveling on Route 13 North, to Dill Road, to Hunter Station to the 800 block of Hosier Road. The load will measure 15 feet 5 inches tall, 12 feet 10 inches wide, 105 feet long and weigh 80,000 pounds. The super load move will have certified front and rear escorts as well as Suffolk Police Motor Carrier escorts. Traffic is expected to be temporarily stopped at the intersections of Dill Road and Hunter Road as well as Hunter Road and Hosier Road to provide for safe turning. The second super load move will handle 3 mobile homes and will travel from North Carolina into the City from the Franklin Bypass to Route 58 eastbound to the Route 13/58/460 Bypass to Route 58 eastbound to Interstate 664 to the 3800 block of Pughsville Road. The load will be 13 feet 6 inches tall, 16 feet wide, 105 feet long, and weigh 54,000 pounds. The super load move will have certified front and rear escorts as well as Suffolk Police Motor Carrier escorts. Traffic is expected to be temporarily stopped on Pughsville Road so that the units are able to turn off the road.
