BLACKSHEEP is by far the most creative film Ive ever attempted to construct, as the content demands there be no barriers. While the film involves documenting the making of my IN A CROWDED ROOM album (which is my first professionally produced musical offering 12 years), like all my films, the major event of the film serves as a backdrop, in which the films real identity will unfold with each passing minute of the film itself. While I could never compare any film to these films, I can tell you that the two biggest inspirations when it comes to my approach to BLACKSHEEP, is P.T.A.s MAGNOLIA and Alan Parkers THE WALL. While my films have always been extremely personal, musical and emotional, BLACKSHEEP is on an entirely different trajectory, in which the REAL demons of this life will be exposed in a completely UNCENSORED way that rips open the scars of regret, while asking the question, Can a love lost ever truly be regained? And if you had a second chance at love... what would you do with it? Think thats an easy question to answer? If so... youve never truly suffered loss. Sounds like a different kind of film for me, eh?
