Let me ask you this Question? One man says “I can!” Another says, “I cannot!” which man is correct? Both! NAS Proverbs 23:7a For as he thinks within himself, so he is. NIB Daniel 1:20 In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom. Four things we can learn to become 10xbetter 1. Look Up – look to Jesus as the source of strength; make him you number one priority in life! NIV Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Also look or find a model, somebody who is doing a better job than you are! If you want to be 10xbetter this year spend time with people who will stretch you! Somebody or someone who think faster, runs faster, and aims higher! A person who will lift you up! Is there someone that you know that can build you up, stretch you? Don’t spend your time with people that are negative they will drag you down. 2. Give Up – if you want to be 10xbetter this year you must be willing to give-up the things that hinder you from become a better person! There are so many people in the Bible who have given up something good for something better! • Abraham give-up his home to seek a better place. • Jonathan give-up his throne for a better relationship with David. • Jesus give-up his life that you and I can have a life abundantly! And you will find that you too will have to give-up something good if you want something better! 3. Show up –Be ready to face challenges, to become 10xbetter we must show up when challenges come! Because my friend there will be challenges along the way. Some people never become all they can be because when they see a challenges coming they fail to show up for the match! Don’t be intimidated by challenges, face your challenges head on! Be like David who showed –up in the match with Goliath. Jesus showed-up and face the cross for your sake! How will you know that you are a Leader, Follower, Loser • Leader ---- Stretch with Challenges • Follower ---- Struggle with challenges • Loser ---- Shrink from challenges Today ask yourselves am I: • Leader • A follower • Loser The answer is You! NAS Proverbs 23:7a For as he thinks within himself, so he is. 4. Go Up – continue to grow! Continue to improve! Don’t Stop! Be willing to improve, be willing to get better! Even if it’s only 1 percent each day! Improve something about yourself. Sharpen something! If you can improved just 1 percent a day that means over one year you will have improved more than 300 percent. Closing: To be 10xbetter this year we must allow the God to work in us, because if we allow him we can do all things through Him who give us strengthen. NAS Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
