POSTING ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER RESCUE (PLEASE NOTE THAT BENNY IS NOT AT FRESHFIELDS) CAN YOU HELP BENNY FIND A HOME? An urgent appeal was launched on various sites via Facebook at the end of November 2014 to try and find two older dogs, Benny and Jade, a new home because their owners had passed away. At the time it was unknown how well socialised Benny was around other dogs, but after a few careful introductions and socialisation with other dogs, Benny appeared to be very calm and relaxed around other dogs. So when a wonderful home was found with three resident dogs, it was felt that it was worth a try and it looked hopeful that this could be the perfect home for Benny and Jade. With great sadness, Benny is not as well socialised with other dogs as hoped and sadly things are not working out, which means that a new desperate search has begun to find Benny a new home. Jade has settled well into the new home and due to her age and health conditions, it is only fair and kinder to allow Jade to stay in the loving home she is now in, and allow Benny to start a new life in an equally loving new home without other animals, where he can get all the care and attention he needs. Benny has been much more responsive to people when he is on his own, which has helped in making the decision to find him a home on his own. We do not feel that Benny would cope at all well in a kennel environment, so we are hoping that a home can be found soon so that he can go straight there from the home he is currently in.
