POSTING THIS BECAUSE I AGREE 100% and I know if my dogs went missing its a human error, whether it be mine or someone else who has caused it .. We all need to think and make sure our pets are kept safe Post below from Bettina Im probably not going to be popular saying this, but I believe in standing up for what you believe, even if it means standing alone, so here it goes: I dont understand how so many dogs can go missing, the truth is, a dog doesnt just go missing, you or someone living with you has either left the door/gate open and thats how your dog got out ... OR ... your yard is not secure enough, hence the reason your dog gets/got out. If you cant provide a secure yard/home for a dog, then for goodness sake dont get one. Just like a child, a dog TOTALLY relies on you to keep it safe, and if you cant do this, then having a dog is not for you!!! I dont open my front door or gate without knowing where my dog is, nor do I leave the door/gate open at any time, in fact, I leave my dog in the garage when I go out in fear that someone will steal/poison him ... With firecracker season approaching, who knows how many dogs will try and escape seeing they are so afraid of the noise they make ...
