POTOCARI - BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA - 11JUL2013 For the past years, ever since the Srebrenica massacre took place, IKV Pax Christi, together with Dutchbat III veterans Dave Maat, Adje Anakotta and others have been working on locating the mass grave containing the remains of baby Fatima Muhic. Fatima, daughter of Hava Muhic and Hajrudin Muhic was born during the 11 July 1995 day of chaos and terror at Dutchbat Compound. She came to life on a small field bed at the Compound, only to die instantly after. Her mother Hava never got to see her daughter. The little girl was buried by Dutchbat military in a mass grave behind the Compound barracks, during a short ceremony. On the basis of the efforts of IKV Pax Christi and the Dutchbat veterans, the remaind of Baby Fatima were located in October 2012 (and subsequently identified by DNA techniques). At the 11 July 2013 mass funeral, mother Hava Muhic, now living in France, after 18 years was offered the chance to burry her daughter - on her daughters 18th birthday. Fatima is laid to rest behind her father Hajrudin, who was killed in the mass murders following July 11, 1995.
