POUND™ FIT - NEW FITNESS CLASS COMING TO PAISLEY JANUARY 2015 Drumming is exercise, and drummers, according to one study, have endurance levels that rival conditioned athletes. This is because of constant arm movement, power output, and a precise coordination of the limbs. When you really make use of all parts of the drum, you call upon deep, infrastructural muscles in your core that are rarely used in fitness classes. The result? A lean, strong, efficient body that looks as good as it feels. You can hear your body working Dance, cardio, and training classes enable you to see and feel how your body is working. But with drumming, you actually get to hear it working. Hearing your timing, precision, symmetry, and loudness gives you important auditory feedback. Based on what you hear, you can quickly adjust, improve, and work harder than ever. Release your inner badass!! We dont often get the permission to hit things, to let out all our energy, anger, and stress in the form music. Thats exactly what drumming is. We like to call it the permission to rock, which is an empowering and meditative all-in-one. Make music!! When you drum, you can forget about counting reps and looking at the clock. Each rep transforms into a beat, and each beat into a song. This takes the focus off of the difficulty of the exercise and allows you to zoom in on how your body is feeling, moving, and sounding.
