POWER OUTAGES ARE GETTING WORSE: Widespread power outages continue across Parry Sound-Muskoka and Almaguin Highlands. Numbers have increased from 25,000 to 39,000 for the amount of Hydro One customers affected by power outages in Bracebridge, Huntsville and Muskoka Lakes. Meantime, in Parry Sound homes left in the dark have also increased to over 12,000 customers. On Highway 11 North, numbers for South River and east of Huntsville towards Algonquin Park remain steady at around 10,000 people. Hydro One says power is estimated to return to normal by 11:30pm tonight. An investigation is underway, while Hydro One crews work to assess the damage.
