#POWER9TWELVE #POWERTAINMENT Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill dating rumors are beginning to heat up. The two are sending a clear message to the hip hop community that they are the next power couple. On Friday night Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill were spotted in a Philly nightclub canoodling with some famous friends including Wale, Rick Ross, and Rozay’s girlfriend Ming Lee. From what we’ve seen they both cozy and happy together so for now let’s be happy that Nicki Minaj is happy. That is a big improvement from what we’ve seen over the last few months with her crying in interviews and ranting on Twitter. Sources told Urban Islandz that the Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill dating rumors are true. “They spent all night together like a real couple in love and they were very happy and having fun,” the source told us. “They arrived together and left the club together.” ------------ Lil Wayne is serious about leaving the label that he has spent all of his career at, Cash Money Records. The “Love Me” rapper has been at odds with Cash Money execs including hi mentor Birdman, who Weezy blame for not releasing his new album Tha Carter V and holding him hostage in his contract. MZ was the first to report that Lil Wayne could be heading to court. But now sources connected to the situation are telling Urban Islandz that a legal battle is looming between Weezy and Cash Money. “There are a lot of things going on in the label that upset Weezy and I can’t go into the specifics but he is serious about leaving,” a source close to the YMCMB rapper told Urban Islandz. “He has had meetings with his lawyers who are prepared to file court documents if necessary to get Tha Carter V release and to get him (Lil Wayne) out the contract,” the source added. There are already talks that Jay Z is interested in signing Lil Wayne to Roc Nation. But his Cash Money contract is a major roadblock that they will have to overcome. Birdman has also expressed that he will be going to court if necessary to keep Lil Wayne at the label. We are watching this closely as things played out. ------------ Chris Brown has had another close call during another club gig. On the weekend he was performing at the San Jose nightclub when gunshots rang out sending everyone into a panic. According to LA Times, Brown was performing at approximately 1:20 Am on Sunday morning. He was performing his hit single “Loyal” when suddenly shots rang out inside of the club sending everyone into a panic and Chris Brown bodyguards rushing the stage. A video posted on YouTube shows the chaotic scene as shots were fired. Five people were hospitalized nursing gunshot wounds following the melee. ------------ Rihanna is moving on from Chris Brown and Drake and now she is rumored to be dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The Bajan pop star and the “Wolf of Wall Street” star were spotted in St. Barths last month on vacation where they also ring in the New Year together. “Leonardo and Rihanna are getting very close, and she just adores him,” sources told Dish Nation. “So much so that word among her friends is that she has her sights set on him becoming her boyfriend.” Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio were also spotted partying together last weekend at designer Nikki Erwin birthday party at the Playboy mansion. Sources say the mew couple were all over each other at the party and later left together. “They looked like two people in love, there were a lot of kissing and affection between them and everyone noticed,” the source said. If these rumors are true then Chris Brown and Drake’s chances of getting back Rihanna just got slimmer. Neither Rihanna nor Leonardo DiCaprio have confirmed that they are dating. ---------- Beyoncé could be pregnant with her second child for husband Jay Z. The pop superstar posted a cryptic image on Instagram last night that send off a firestorm on social media. Was she trying to send the world a message that there is a bun in the oven. Beyonce and Blue Ivy are in Thailand for vacation and while playing in the sand on the beach they made the baby bump image with sand on top of the “Flawless” singer. Will she make a formal announcement or will Beyonce just keep everyone guessing. Beyoncé and Jay Z daughter Blue Ivy Carter celebrated her 3rd birthday on January 7.
