POWERLIFTER OF THE MONTH: October, 2014 Gary Hutcheson Im a little late posting this months POM: not because I couldnt choose, but because I couldnt figure out what to write without writting for longer than you can on FB. As those of you who follow this know, my POM isnt decided on by who lifts the most weight...its decided on by what that persons character is and what they go through to train with us, etc etc. Gary shows up to the gym with consistency and dedication and always has a great attitude. He always lends a helping hand, always appreciates others when they help, and shows great grattitude and respect. Gary will travel to help his team mates out at meets, and is always positive in his attitude. Gary has held the Missouri State Bench Press record in his age and weight. He has only been competing for a few years now, but has come a long way. He has had to deal with a few nagging injuries, which is always hard for powerlifters, but he quickly gets his chin up, gets back in the gym, and gets back after it, no matter what. If you knew him like I do, this would not be a surprise to you, because Gary retired from the Army after 20 years of service, was a Drill Seargent, and is a RANGER. It aint easy to keep him down. Gary and I have known each other for about 16-17 years, and he is like an older brother to me...one of the best friends Ive ever had. Hes a good man, and a good training partner, and we are lucky to have him. Thanks Hutch!
