PRACTICE SESSIONS PRACTICE SESSIONS PRACTICE SESSIONS FRIDAY, AUGUST 15 SATURDAY, AUGUST 16 SUNDAY, AUGUST 17 August 15 through August 17: Hunt sessions run 50 minutes, scheduled on the hour at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9 pm on Friday and Saturday; 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm on Sunday. Tunnel practice sessions run 50 minutes, scheduled at 7pm and 8pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. IMPORTANT NOTE: Practice is by pre-registration only. Please sign up for only one practice session per dog. If spots are not filled by Thursday, August 14 at noon, we will open up additional practices per dog. If you have more than one dog, fill in a slot for EACH dog. Registration can ONLY be made through the website listed for the sign-up sheet. If you are handling multiple dogs, fill in a time slot for EACH dog. LOCATION: Susan Kelly’s barn in Kenner, LA, where the rats live and straw is stored. See directions attached. Barn Hunt will be outdoors. There is an air-conditioned kennel area where dogs can cool off. We would have to charge an extraordinary amount in order to be able to rent an air-conditioned building. We are able to keep costs reasonable by practicing at this location. We had practice in June at this location. It was hot but the dogs were able to cool off in Susan’s air-conditioned kennel. NOTE: In the case of inclement weather, the straw for practicing hunts can be moved to inside the barn. But tunnel practice may need to be canceled. Keep alert to postings on this Facebook site for news regarding changes in practice due to weather problems. WHAT TO CHOSE FROM: HUNTsessions or TUNNEL sessions. Read descriptions below. Do not sign up for a Hunt session at the same time slot as a Tunnel session.. The Hunt will contain a tunnel as part of the course. Tunnel practice is to focus solely on practicing tunnels (not on finding the rat[s]). HUNTING SESSIONS OFFERED: We are offering three different sessions to meet the current levels of Barn Hunters in our area.
