Shrestha Shristi A-Not Architecture n Architects was established in 2006 AD by three architecture graduates, who are also former classmates of IOE, Pulchowk – Ar. Damodar Acharya, Ar. Shovendra Raj Joshi and Ar. Mitralal Gurau . Within few years of its establishment, it has become one of the most reputed consultancies of the Valley and won several national design competitions. Currently, Anot is involved in numerous major design projects including the domestic airport at Janakpur. “Unlike what most people may presume, the name of Anot does not represent the size of the paper”, reveals architect Shovendra Raj Joshi. “Instead, Anot (A0) signifies freezing one’s heart in architecture as ‘A’ stands for architecture and ‘0’ is the absolute zero, where everything freezes, “he adds. Blue coffee met with this enthusiastic team of young architects and endeavoured to learn about Anot – their designs and design principles, views and most importantly, Anot as a design team.
