PRAY: As ISs march of terror continues (also known as ISIS or ISIL), it is imperative that we pray for our brothers and sisters who at this very moment live in fear and grieve the loss of brutally murdered loved ones. We must identify with the persecution and horror of believers in Iraq. Pray for faith and courage in the face of fear, for some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth (Hebrews 11:35-38). Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body (Hebrews 13:3).
