We need to continue to pray for some young People who are struggling with drug addiction. Pray they get the desire within themselves to want to get help. Pray for the parents as they go through this ordeal with their sons/daughters. Ruth MacAdams Riley I would like to have our troups prayed for as they are always being sent into harms way! I would also like to pray for our students, they are challenged daily by their peers and want them to stay strong in their beliefs and their faith! JUST A THOUGHT Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.” But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. Jonah 1:1-3 ESV God told Jonah to go to Nineveh, but Jonah fled in the opposite direction, boarded a ship, and sailed away. Soon a terrible storm overtook them and they ended up casting Jonah into the sea. As he was drowning with seaweed wrapped around his head, a great fish swallowed him. He prayed to God from the belly of the fish, and it spit him out on dry land. Finally, he went to Nineveh and saved 120,000 people. Has there ever been a time that the Lord wanted you to do something, but instead you did the opposite? If so, you have probably been in the storm and you felt like you were drowning, tangled up in bad stuff, and ready to throw in the towel. We start to think “If only I had listened, I would not be here.” It is not over or too late to make a change. You can pray to the Lord from the dark place that you are in and He will restore you, put you back on the path, and then use you to save others, just as He did with Jonah. 1 PETER 2:9 9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
