PRAYER: A SUCCESS PRINCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST John 16:24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. Prayer is the power house of any believer, and Jesus never played with it. Before He commenced His ministry full time, He engaged in forty days fasting and prayer after which He returned in the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1-2, 14-15). And when He wanted to choose His twelve disciples, He prayed all night (Luke 6:12-13). Furthermore, when it was time for Him to be crucified, He prayed so earnestly that His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:44). And the bible recorded that an angel came and strengthened Him (Luke 22:43). Prayer was a channel of reinforcing Himself spiritually and a channel through which He received wisdom, instructions, guidance and directions from God. So, if Christ who is God needed to pray without ceasing, then we surely need to pray more. The importance of prayer in ones life cannot be over-emphasized. In truth, nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer except that which lies outside the will of God. If we can pray like Jesus did, we can have results, do exploits and overcome as He did. Christlike success is attainable! The cost? In Jesus name Dollars! #PRAYER: Father in heaven, as our role model, help us worry less about what we can get from You and more about what we can learn from You. As Your followers, increase our strength in prayer, in Jesus name!
