PRAYER CREATES CHANGE Times of darkness grow stronger in this - TopicsExpress

PRAYER CREATES CHANGE Times of darkness grow stronger in this world that we live in, are we able to see it, does it matter to us. In order for it to make an impact on us, then it has to happen on a more personal level. What is personal to us, family, work, housing, finances, food, material things, what? If then there seems to be an uprising in any of our personal things, then just maybe it is to get our attention to what needed to be attended to. Jesus went straight to the Source of the One who held all things in His hands. Do we? Would it even be within our thoughts to take these personal thoughts to our Lord? Or would we continue to rely on the things of this world, hoping that such things would just pass if we would simply ignore them. If something is not seen, then its all good. We are not able to see what is happening with our bodies on the internal, but does that make it good. Something could be developing within us, yet it is unseen, building itself up, which when in time it will be made known and for the most part, our attention will be required and nothing can be done to prevent this. If however, we push it away from us, then the outcome maybe so overwhelming that when it comes upon us, we would run from it, try & drown ourselves in other pursuits, searching for the peace which stands closer than we think, if we would just answer the door of the One knocking upon our hearts. If we believe and have accepted the Son of God within our lives, then we will come to know that our lives are not our own. We are being taught by the Spirit which has been left for us to learn from, if we so desire. If not, then by the love which He has for us He will still teach us. His Spirit convicts, and not condemns us. If we are unable to see one, then He will try to show us another way, a way which we will be made to understand. This can go on and on, but its our hope that we will be wanting to grab hold of His understanding before we stand before Him. Understanding then, will be to late, for no changes will be able to made when our time to do so has now passed. Jesus knew what He had to face and he knew it would be very difficult to accomplish, for temptation came knocking on his door. He told his disciples to pray so they would not enter into the temptations which would be presented to them. He then went himself, to pray, he moved not to far from them, could be so that they would see & follow what he was intending to do. They slept, it wasnt personal to them. The weight of the world was upon our Saviour, we were personal to Him. An angel appeared unto him strengthening him, he prayed all the more. We have been given unto us His Spirit, our Comforter, he dwells within us, He is still with us, if we believe. We are bound together by the blood of the Lamb and the Spirit within us is able to strengthen each of us, if we are willing to accept what He is trying to give unto us. Let us not sleep in our sorrows, but be willing to communicate with our LORD. Whom has our Lord sent unto us? Father God, I/we thank thee for thy Spirit which is upon all of our families. For every trial, and afflictions which has come upon us, even for those that we are yet to face, I/we come to Thee. I/we thank thee for thy Spirit which enables us to learn from one another and to strengthen each other in all that you have given unto us. Jesus for all that you have faced, you spoke to the Father and He answered you. We ask thee Lord, to hear us and that we would also be able to hear thy Spirit this day. Give us the strength to be slow to speak, quick to listen, and slow to wrath. Jesus I/we thank thee for the love that you have for all your children which the Father has given unto you, I/we pray for thy Spirit to rise up within us and recognize the very love that you have for us all this day. Amen, Glory be to God. Luke 22 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stones cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
