PRAYER GUIDE OCTOBER 30 – READ ISAIAH 47:1-15. We are Babylon. Not literally – but we tend to make the same mistake. God honors and blesses us. God uses us and empowers us. We begin to think we are something. Then things go terrible bad. Pride. It’s always waiting in the wings. We get a bit of privilege and begin to think we are entitled. We receive some authority then begin to believe we are the authority. We get a snippet of information and imagine we know all things. We are given insight and consider ourselves seers. We are Babylon. Today consider humility. And don’t jump to think about that other person you believe should be humble!! (That’s pride). Consider humility in your own life and in particular those places precisely where God has blessed, used, entrusted, honored you and you have moved from humility and gratitude and are now being Babylonian. Remedy? Always one available – it is called confession and repentance. If need be why not travel that pathway with God today. It is as they say – good for the soul.
