PRE RUNNING: CLOSED from Mile 0 to 120, OPEN from mile 120 to the finish line mile 203. REGISTRATION and INSURANCE: Friday 27th Hotel San Nicolas from 12:00 noon to 7:30pm. TECH INSPECTION and CONTINGENCY: Friday 27th Lopez Mateos and Alvarado from 12:noon to 8:00 pm. BIKE LATE REGISTRATION: Saturday 28th from 5:00 to 6:00 am at Km 35 (El Mirador) CAR LATE REGISTRATION: Saturday 28th from 8:00 to 9:00am Start area (Lopez Mateos ave.) BIKE START: Saturday 28th at km 35 (EL Mirador) stage at 6:00am Start at 6:30am. CODE / NORRA bikes CAR START: (ceremonial): MANDATORY START Lopez Mateos ave. (same place as tech) stage at 9:00am start at 9:30am. For driver of record / points this will be the considered as the start of the race, as well as the finish line in Laguna Salada at mile 203. From the ceremonial start we will transit in an escorted ordered form to km 35 El Mirador, no passing, and respecting the road signals and speed limits etc. OFFICIAL TIMED RACE START: At Km 35 El Mirador at 10:30 am. COURSE MODIFICATION: There has been a change in the course at the first part of the course approximately from mile 2 to mile 6, the course is perfectly marked and the GPS file is updated at codeoffroad.mx. HIGHWAY SPEED ZONE: At hwy km 54 to km 62 we have a speed zone of 60kmph or 37mph. -- The Federal hwy patrol will be guarding this zone and can stop or ticket those who exceed the speed limit. --There will be a visual crew with radar gun to take speed notes for this section. --Your hwy times will be taken from km54 when we board the hwy to km 62 when we leave it and penalties will be asigned to those who do not comply. MAG 7 will be in the Molina down hill area to support racers at the uphills. Baja Pits will have pit support at the Cohabuzo wash area mile 98 aprox. WEATHERMAN : Will be supporting racing comunications on 151.625 IRS TRACKING: Will be offering their services to those who wish to contract them voluntarily for the race. CODE and NORRA will be sharing the course from checkpoint 1 to mile 135, then NORRA will race north on the main Canon de Guadalupe road, so we ask the use of EXTREME caution to chase teams using this road. COURSE ACCESS: The access roads at km 78 (takes you to M 50) and km 91 (takes you to M 60) and Laguna Salada km 28 Guadalupe Canon road are marked with access arrows. DO NOT try and acces the Cucapah, Salada dry lake, Azufre, Agua Coyote etc. because they are flooded at this time. Another option to acces the Cohabuzo would be Saldana 2 acces road, take it for 20 km then aprox. 20 miles north and that puts you close to M98. START ORDER: OT/1 - 10 - 12 - 8 - 1600 - 7 - 18 - 5 - 14 - 5/1600 - 15 - 9 - 1850 - 7s - 11. CLASSES: 9 - 11 - 15 - 7s - 1850 when arriving at Mile 154 will bypass straight to Mile 187 (will not to the north hwy section) FINISH LINE ARRIVAL: Willl be at the Salada Stadium area next to Canon de Guadalupe road right next to the NORRA finish line, where NORRA starts the last transit stage to Mexicali and CODE will caravan in 10 to 15 vehicle groups to the Calafia Bull ring for the Ceremonial FINISH. AWARDS: Saturday 28 Hotel Colonial Garden at 9:00pm. RESCUE: Cruz Roja Mexicana will take care of course from Mile 0 to Mile 100 and Grupo de rescate Aguiluchos from M 100 to the Finish Line. SECURITY: We will have support from the Municipal Police, Federal Police, State Preventive Police as well as the Mexican Military, to provide us with safety at access roads, highways, crossings and any where we might need them to ensure a safe event.
