PRECOAT METALS - Maintenance Technician-Multi Craft - Ensure that plant equipment & facilities are kept in good electrical/mechanical repair & working order, enabling a continuous production mode. Responsibilities: Organize, & facilitate maintenance on all production & facility equipment with emphasis on equipment uptime & to resolve quality & production related issues in the spirit of continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical troubleshooting. Read & interpret machine electrical & mechanical drawings. Troubleshoot programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, & pneumatics. Use electrical test equipment as needed for repair & troubleshooting. Repair & rebuild electrical & mechanical components. Installation, modification & fabrication of equipment & systems to meet production needs & schedules. Communicate clearly maintenance situations from one shift to another, including Maintenance Team Leader & Maintenance Manager. Plant wide accountabilities for operational aspects including progress toward quality & production goals. Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality & housekeeping. Other tasks as determined by the Maintenance Manager. Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma & 2+ years of experience repairing & troubleshooting in pneumatics, hydraulics, over-head cranes, forklifts, hoists, 3-phase motors, variable speed drives & controls, & heavy industrial wiring. Strong industrial electrical experience required. Ability to learn process, equipment specifications & company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals, training department & policies. Good practical sense working with & troubleshooting equipment problems. Able to work with minimal supervision within a team environment. Must be computer literate, familiar with the Windows Operating system. Ability to read & translate Technical Manuals. Ability to work independently. Strong sense of urgency.
