PRELIMINARY FINAL FLYING FORTRESS VS EAST QUICHE Previous Meetings Rd 5 EQ 17.11.113 def FF 11.10.76 Rd 15 FF 18.10.118 drew EQ 18.10.118 The penultimate game of the season sees these two clubs battling each other for a spot in the 2014 SuperKick Grand Final. Last time these two met it ended in a high quality draw and we can expect another tense and tight affair here. The Fortress would have been a little disappointed after last weeks early collapse but at showed some heart and have another crack at the Quiche. They regain Roughead who is of extreme importance but he will find it tough going against a formiddable opponent. Kennedy and Heppell are out of this side this week and may need to look towards Jack Darling who may just get the right matchup. Winderlich showed some good signs and could kick a few more this week. Stringer, Walker and Podsiadly will again try to be the match winners. The Quiche got some mojo back last week although it did take a while before it clicked with Pavlich kicking 5 late goals with some help from Cripps and Tippett. This week they regain Carlisle and Ballantyne who should prove crucial with only Ellard being an omission which should give the quiche a slight edge. The Quiche have looked good all year whilst the Fortress have been a bit more up and down and seemingly timing their run perfectly late in the year and both will want another crack at the Saucers. I will be tipping the Quiche due to consistency and setting up a fiery Grand Final.
