PRELUDE- TREACHARY The God of Wisdom, war, battle, victory, poetry, foresight. Ruler of Asgard. And Allfather of the Aesir Gods. Wotan. Woden. Or as he has come to be know in this day in age....Oden. His authority surpassed all that entered his realm. The God steps out onto the balcony of the highest tower in all of Asgard. His one eye scanning the vast kingdom. His eye catches the black spec in the sky. Parting the cape draped over his shoulders he lifts one arm up and extended. Huginn and Muninn, his trusted ravens. Those who scout the lands everyday and report back to the Allfather. The large black bird lands on his arm. My liege.. says the bird Huginn. Where art thou brother Muninn? Odin asks of the Raven. Captured sire! By the Vanir! They plot both our fates, lest I escaped by the graces of my brother raven. Huginn claimed. They set their sights on our land! They mean to overthrow the throne of Asgard!! You must be ready!! Do not stand idle and let them fill your lands, for a witnessed a vast massive army! The young bird warning in sternness. Rage filled the God. A burning anger in his eyes, he stormed to the chambers of his son. The God of Thunder. Son! Odin bellowed, his voice like a giants, Get up..... We have work to do. _________________________________________________________ After Odin fill Thor in on the things he was told by the loyal raven Huginn, Thor arose filled with fury! He knew this ment war! There was much to consider in times like this. Diplomacy, negotiation, .....battle. He knew, plans were to be made, meeting to have. He hated the politics. THEY ACTED TREACHEROUSLY! Were his thoughts. Why not just make them submit by force. Thor would do it single handedly if needed. There was no Vanir that could match the might of Thor. Nor was there an Aesir that could either. He could win this war! But alas he respected his father. He would heed Odins word. At least for now. Thor stopped in at Lady Sifs chambers on his way to the meeting hall. Barging in, SIF! he said slamming open the door Come. We need you. __________________________________________________________ Meanwhile........ Deep in the mountains of Vanaheim. High in the palace towers, rest the Gods of the Vanir. In one particular tower lay sleeping the lovely and infinitely beautiful Goddess of Youth, Iduna. Back in the shadows of her room stood a still dark figure. The one eye gazed over the Vanaheim princess. Swiftly sweeping her away in the night the angered and hateful Allfather left a sign, burned in the wall. Odins horn. So that the Vanir Gods would know, it was he who took their beloved princess Iduna.
