PREPARATION PRECEDES MANIFESTATIONS WE live in the days where we want things done in an instant. We all seem to be in a hurry and if we don’t get things in a hurry, we fidget, fret and freak out. Everybody is in a hurry and this has been the undoing of not just people’s lives but the nation. Most times, hurry is a manifestation of weakness in planning and our being in a hurry has led us to needless calamities. Some things can be done in a hurry but some things just need time to get it done properly. A good life that will count can never be done in a hurry. If our lives will count we must know what we can do hurriedly and what will demand painstaking effort and time. The execution of our life purpose and dream can never be done in a hurry. We have to engage in a deliberate process which will take a proper mix of time, effort and resources. When it comes to our purpose the level of preparation will determine the scope, quality and longevity of our manifestation. We must see our lives as gold. Gold is and can never be produced in a hurry. It demands a process of refining that has to be done painstakingly. If we ever try to walk in and manifest in our purpose without adequate preparation we stand the risk of not being able to stand the test of time. Preparation is never a glamorous event but when the dividends come it becomes worth the while. “Spectacular achievement is always preceded by unspectacular preparation” Robert Schuller Life has a way of testing the quality of things. Life usually will mount pressure on whatever we are building to test if it will stand. When the pressure of life hits anything that is not properly built through adequate preparation that thing is bound to give way. This perhaps explains why we have abandoned projects all around us. When people do not adequately prepare before embarking on projects, such projects usually get jettisoned after a while. When we see people who just appear on the public scene without any adequate preparation you can be sure that sooner than later they will just fizzle out and their position rendered vacant. It will take time and conscious effort to build anything that will last. We must never be in a hurry to just do anything. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well and to do anything well demands adequate preparation. When we fail to prepare we are preparing to fail. “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Benjamin Franklin Preparation time is never wasted time as this is the material that will help us acquire and sustain whatever success we get. There are great successes waiting ahead of us but we need to get ready to be able to seize our moment. Each day, each event, each encounter with people and situations are training grounds for our future success. We must be resolute to win and the first step is the will to prepare for where we want to get to.
