The Homam is being performed on the most auspicious day for Goddess Saraswati (Moola Nakshatra on a Purnima Day).The meaning of the mantras will be explained so that the students understand the mantras and not just recite.Similar Homams have been done in the past in several states of the United States and in Andhra Pradesh, India. The Homam is being offered free of cost for the students, with the intentions of their welfare and progress. Students performing this homam come from different walks of life, including orphanages and Special Education Schools. Soundarya Lahari requests the help of its patrons to support the event by sponsoring/donating generously.
