PRESIDENT MUTHARIKA PANICS!!!!!!! MHC OFFICIAL DEPLOYED TO CHANGE DETAILS OF DOCUMENTS ON PRESIDENT MUTHARIKAS LOW-COST HOUSES Realising that Parliament and other stakeholders will push for transparency in how President Mutharika acquired Malawi Housing Corporation (MHC) houses at an insanely low price in 2011, a ploy has been cooked by the firms top management to tamper with the documents. According to a reliable inside source, MHC Deputy General Manager, Wanangwa Mbereka, and DPP guru Noel Masangwi have been up and down Blantyre and Lilongwe City Assemblies to make sure that the original documents are either replaced or burnt. Mbereka has been pushing his junior staff for the documents warning that anyone who photocopies or leaks them out will be fired. And he has been going to City Assemblies to consolidate his story so that the new documents reflect the real estimates of the prices of the housing units, said the source while doubting if this will work because the original documents might already be in the hands of the opposition. Mbereka, who was promoted from Regional Manager to his new post by former President Joyce Banda, has been very busy this whole week running up and down offices in Lilongwe to delete traces of the dubious transactions. Mutharika bought five MHC houses in Blantyre and Lilongwe. For a house worth K35 million in Nyambadwe, the President paid K2.5 million while for the other houses in Lilongwe he paid less than K4 million instead of the real combined value of K47 million. Meanwhile, MHC staff have vowed not to be part of the ploy and are ready to testify either in Parliament or courts of law if the issue demands such an action
