PRESS RELEASE: 10/29/2014 Today, the Citizens for Tim Benn - TopicsExpress

PRESS RELEASE: 10/29/2014 Today, the Citizens for Tim Benn campaign has filed a complaint with the PDC against the Marcus Riccelli campaign. This complaint addresses lies on an expensive flyer that have been printed and distributed in the 3rd district this week. Tim Benn commented: I am very disappointed, but not surprised at the lack of Integrity in my opponent for agreeing to this piece paid for by supporters in the Seattle area. To say that I do not want the North/South Corridor completed is a blatant disregard for truth. I have however, stated that the corridor is over due to be completed and it should not continue to be used as a political football as the cost overruns the voters that are paying for this project. In a informational youtube video https://youtube/watch?v=Cenze9qCaLM produced on 7/16/2014 time section 6:15-8:17 you will find my comments regarding this issue. My opponent has also stated that my website contains information that I oppose expanded healthcare for kids This is a complete misrepresentation of my beliefs. I have worked with children for years and support making sure they have access to healthcare. My website actually states that Protecting and Supporting the most vulnerable and moving people out of poverty should be non-negotiable. Lastly, my opponent states that Tim Benn doesnt even want to live here. Using not only a false statement but also using a photo on the flyer out of context. That photo was included in an information video for voters produced on 7/16/2014 found at https://youtube/watch?v=Cenze9qCaLM (Time Marker 8:17-11:11) I am very proud to live in Spokanes 3rd district. I have made it very clear that my wife, Shannon, has said it would be easier to operate her childcare business in Idaho than here in Spokane. She has watched the rapid decline (1,531 businesses closed 2010-2012) in the industry as the pages of regulations and requirements have increased (96 pages of regulations here vs. 7 pages in Idaho). Our families have deep roots here, and we want to stay here if we can keep our business open. I have chosen to stand and defend small businesses, families and children in hopes that our children will have a Spokane to call home. I am in the process of filing a PDC complaint against the Riccelli campaign for this irresponsible attack on me and my family. Contact: Shannon Benn 509-487-1219
