PRESS RELEASE 4/5/14 Thirteen Offenders Sentenced to the Department of Corrections Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney announces that in Circuit Court action over the last month, thirteen offenders were sentenced to terms of imprisonment in the Department of Corrections. The thirteen are: The first defendant was Brian Haggard of Dixon. He was on probation after being found guilty of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of his probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke his probation in both cases. Both Judge Hickle and Judge Warren granted the motions and sentenced the defendant to five years in the Department of Corrections on one case and ten years on the other case. The St. Robert Police Department and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group investigated these cases. The second defendant was Tyrone Glaze of St. Robert. The defendant pled guilty to two counts of Domestic Assault in the First Degree. Judge Wiggins sentenced the defendant to fifteen years in the Department of Corrections on each count. The St. Robert Police Department investigated this case. The third defendant was Patricia King of Waynesville. The defendant was on probation after being found guilty of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Controlled Substance. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of her probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke her probation. Judge Warren granted the motion and sentenced the defendant to ten years in the Department of Corrections on one charge and five years on the other charge. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, St. Robert Police Department and Waynesville Police Department investigated these cases. The fourth defendant was Melissa Berry of Laquey. The defendant was on probation after being found guilty of Burglary in the Second Degree. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of her probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke her probation. Judge Warren granted the motion and sentenced the defendant to five years in the Department of Corrections. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department investigated this case. The fifth defendant was Cletus Conklin of Crocker. The defendant was on probation after being found guilty of Incest. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of his probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke his probation. Judge Hickle granted the motion and sentenced the defendant to four years in the Department of Corrections. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department investigated this case. The sixth defendant was Tyrone Fellers of Richland. The defendant was found guilty of two counts of Assault in the Second Degree. Judge Hickle sentenced the defendant to four years in the Department of Corrections on each count. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department investigated this case. The seventh defendant was Adam Johnson of Waynesville. The defendant was on probation after being found guilty of two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of his probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke his probation. Judge Hickle granted the motion and sentenced the defendant to four years in the Department of Corrections on each count. The defendant is eligible for treatment while in the Department of Corrections. The Waynesville and St. Robert Police Departments investigated these cases. The eighth defendant was Arnold Hall of Stoutland. The defendant pled guilty to Forgery. Judge Long sentenced the defendant to four years in the Department of Corrections. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department investigated this case. The ninth defendant was Tyler Collins of Lebanon. The defendant was on probation after being found guilty of Possession of a Controlled Substance. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of his probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke his probation. Judge Warren granted the motion and sentenced the defendant to five years in the Department of Corrections. The defendant is eligible for treatment while in the Department of Corrections. The St. Robert Police investigated this case. The tenth defendant was Brent Wagner of Dixon. The defendant was on probation for two counts of Assault in the Second Degree. After failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of his probation, the Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion to revoke his probation. Judge Hickle granted the motion and sentenced the defendant to seven years in the Department of Corrections on each count. The Dixon Police Department investigated this case. The eleventh defendant was Kevin Jennings of Dixon. The defendant pled guilty to felony Driving While Revoked. Judge Hickle sentenced the defendant to two years in the Department of Corrections. The Waynesville Police Department investigated this case. The twelfth defendant was Rena Johns of Crocker. The defendant pled guilty to Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree. Judge Warren sentenced the defendant to seven years in the Department of Corrections. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department investigated this case. The thirteenth defendant was Debra Beaty of Waynesville. The defendant pled guilty to Driving While Intoxicated as a Persistent Offender. Judge White sentenced her to four years in the Department of Corrections. She is eligible for treatment while in the Department of Corrections. The St. Robert Police Department investigated this case. “Once again, the hard work of law enforcement in Pulaski County is paying off with offenders being taken off the street and sent to the Department of Corrections where they belong. We continue to take a tough stand on probationers who do not follow the terms and conditions of their probation and they can expect that to continue,” said Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Hillman. “Probation is a second chance, and if a person cannot comply with the terms of probation, they need to go to prison.” The cases were prosecuted by Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Hillman and Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Laura Kriebs, Dean Matthews, and Katie Croker.
